Ceramic Workshop For Mothers
Hello mothers,
Being a mother is a life-changing experience. These experiences are sometimes beautiful but also sometimes turbulent. Words is one way to share stories and experiences, but it has its limitation. Art-making is another way for expressing. In this ceramic workshop, I would like to create a space for people who are mothers to work with clay and make an expressive ceramic object by hand.

Fee: €24 per session. Including VAT, material, tools, firing and coffee/tea. If you would like to complete your sculpture with glazes, it is required to take minimum two sessions. f

Project: About Being a Mother
Description: About Being a Mother is a 20 months art project. Becoming a mother is a crucial and meaningful life event for every woman. I work as an artist for about 9 years, and be a mother for about 5 years. Since the date my first child was born, the role as a mother keeps shaping and changing me. Through this art project I wish to transform the abstract, subjective yet very embodied experience of being a mother into a series of physical materialized objects. Text and ceramic are the main media – I will use them to talk about my journey of past four and a half years of being a mother. During my residency at Stingerbol, I will make and record the process of creating a large circular shape of ceramic piece.
On the 7th of March, from 9:30 - 11:30 am, you are more than welcome to drop by to see the outcome of this residency project.

Collective Fermentation Workshop
“We work, we sense, we connect, we share”
This is a fermentation workshop that all the participants will process the vegetables together, collectively. After the workshop you can bring back a jar of fermented vegetables.
